Here is Big Mike and the boys as they make themselves comfortable on his lap where they seem to have laid claim!

Mike refers to them as his boys and so they are, they know that he like them are a part of the family! He has great fun with them and at the same time is strict with them and makes sure they stay in line when needed.

Now as far as Mike and Nymphadora.........I think she is his favorite as he has cats at his home and has a special love for them. She totally loves him but of course she can't show him that and has to have attitude when he picks her up and holds her and pets her. This does not mean that he does not mess with her and makes her mad by cupping her head in his giant hand and rubbing her as she struggles to get away, this is just to fun to watch!

Yes, this would be Nymphadora, the queen herself! This would be "Professor Snape's" best friend. She will bath him one minute and bet him up the next. I love watching them play together and lay together.

If I am giving the dogs a treat you can bet that she comes running up to get her share and man..... if this treat is meat, forget about it....she is all over it!

One of her favorite places to hide is in Brianna's room under the edge of the bedspread. She will lie in wait for you to pass by and before you know it she is pouncing on you, attacking your ankles not to mention scaring the crap out of you!

One other talent of hers is playing ping pong, yes I said ping pong! She thinks that she is the ball and will run through the house, bouncing off anything she can. What a blast she has and a pleasure to watch. She definitely brings a smile to your face and joy to your heart!

After her exhausting day you just might find her lying across the fire place mantle or sitting on top of my antiques table that has Brianna's shark jaw displayed, she just squeezes herself in where she pleases!

Tristan Goes to the Store

For those of you who love dogs I have come across an author by the name of Trudee Lewis and a book she has written called "Tristan goes to the store".

Imagine a fluffy white bichon frise dog and get this, the dog loves to go to the pet store! Yes, you heard me right, the pet store. This reminds me of my dog shadow who loves to go to the groomers.

Read about Tristan's trip to the pet store and all that his senses take in like the sights and smells of the different animals there. He finds not only food to eat but balls, bones, cats, mice, well you get the idea, all those animals that you can imagine a pet store has.

As Tristan rides throughout the pet store in the shopping cart you can take a ride along with him on his adventure. Young readers will love this tale of Tristan and the many other adventures that he sets out on to explore. It is my opinion that this is a must read for young and old do lovers alike. This book is designed for young readers and is rich with concepts for teaching language" and is a joy to share with someone along their way to the world of reading and pet lovers alike.

This would be Snape our Chihuahua that looks like he is a mini Doby! He has beautiful markings and he also has other names such as "pretty pretty princess", "Prancer", and "Snappers" to name a few. In this photo he is doing his "sexy puppy" pose which is done by both dogs and the cat!

He was so small when we first got him that he could run under shadow between his legs without touching him. Now, he is taller and longer than Shadow and it is hard to believe that he was ever that small. Here he is with Brianna (my daughter) when he was a pup!

This is Shadow aka Bubbles and he is 6 years old. Born August 30th 2005 he is big brother to another dog Professor Severus Snape and a sister Nymphadora Tonks a calico and mother of six.


Shadow is a Shi-Tzu and had the most beautiful fur if left long. It once was down to the ground, wavy and beautiful and it was a sight to watch him run to you, he looked like a prancing show dog. Due to the fact that no one would brush him and he got so many tangled knots he had to be shaven. This is a great look but it did reveal these circles on his skin which looked like bubbles which is where this name came from thanks to Kyle Thorp!

This picture is fresh from the groomers where he always gets his kerchief and runs around like "super dog"! Shadow is one wonderful dog and was named shadow as he follows me around as if he is mine. I could walk from one room to another a hundred times and he would get up and follow me with out fail.
